GIRLS WHO CODE

2017, WEEK 11:

“To close the gender gap in technology.”

Quick Summary:
More than two-thirds of middle school girls show an interest in computer science. The number drops in half in high school. And less than 4% pursue a higher education or career in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM). GIRLS WHO CODE runs programs during the academic year teaching high school girls computing skills like programming, robotics, and web design, with sessions including projects and trips to companies like Twitter and Facebook.
